Our friendly staff will schedule you for an appointment with the doctor. Bring prior x-rays or MRIs and any records with you to your appointment.
The doctor will review your medical history and will perform the examination and digital x-rays (if necessary). After analyzing your history, examination and any imaging, the doctor will determine whether you are a good candidate and which services are necessary to help you. The doctor may order advanced diagnostic testing, such as MRI and CT, if needed. When necessary, patients are referred to primary care or medical specialists.
The doctor will explain the diagnosis and recommended treatment options and answer your questions prior to beginning treatment, including an estimate of the amount of care that is necessary and how much it will cost.
We participate with most major insurance, patient financing options are available with Care Credit, and checks, cash, and all major credit cards are accepted. Health Savings Accounts and Flex accounts are welcome. Our office participates with most insurances, including Blue Cross Blue Shield, South Carolina State Health Plan, Federal Employee Blue Cross, Blue Choice, Cigna, Medcost, Aetna, United Healthcare, and Medicare. Dr. Henry has been recognized for cost-efficiency and consistent best evidence practice by multiple managed care organizations.
Treatment may begin as quickly as the first visit, after the doctor has all the necessary clinical information and once you have had a chance to have your questions answered and feel comfortable proceeding with care.
Treatment is generally mild, although some patients will experience soreness following the initial treatments, similar to starting a new exercise program. While reaching maximum improvement takes time, many patients are pleased with the quick improvement in symptoms.
Our treatments include non-surgical spinal decompression, cold laser therapy, digital radiology (if needed), chiropractic (Diversified, Palmer, Upper Cervical, Gonstead, Pierce, Thompson, Activator, trigger point therapy, and other techniques), extremity adjustments, taping / bracing, Myofascial Disruption Technique, massage therapy, nutrition and exercise advice, therapeutic modalities (electrical stimulation, interferential, hot and cold packs, traction, and ultrasound), therapeutic exercise, dry needling, custom orthotics and pillows.
